Simon’s Mural Project
Simon’s Mural Project is a local effort to restore an historic mural inside of a beloved neighborhood bar located in Chicago’s Andersonville. Since 1956, the wrap-around mural inside Simon's Tavern has been more than just a painting—it's a vibrant chronicle of the Swedish-American heritage that shaped this community. But time has taken its toll, and pieces of the mural are now chipping away, which is why Simon’s is seeking grant funding to restore it to its original glory. In consultation with board members on the mural project, I developed this simple website to help raise awareness and connect with people who can donate their talent to seeking financing and other support.
